If you are a valid Menumark contract holder, you are now able to obtain an update to your Menumark software to cover the new allergen legislation that was introduced mid December 2014.
As you will be aware, there was already an allergen table in your Menumark software which allows you to add allergen information against a recipe. This however had no link to the commodities within the database or reporting options.
The new upgrade contains links with commodities allowing you to set the correct allergen information for each commodity and then this information automatically updates each recipe. There is also be an individual recipe ingredient report which includes the list of commodities required to make the recipe, yield to be made, method for the recipe (if inputted into Menumark) and a list of allergens for the recipe.
You are to print this and display at your restaurant or alternatively you can save as a pdf (acrobat file) and send to each department.
Datasym will now look at the allergen information for labelling and electronic meal ordering.
Software upgrades are now available for download from our FTP site at ftp://data1.datasym.co.uk/latestversions/Menumark/ or alternatively we can send out the software via a disk upon request.
