Datasym & Hospedia officially launched the new Electronic Meal Ordering system at this years HCA Conference in Reading.
The HCA Conference is always a hive of activity every year and a fantastic opportunity for all to meet up and exchange experiences, views and ideas. 2012 was no exception and didn’t disappoint. Datasym and Hospedia took the opportunity to officially launch the combined Electronic Meal Ordering service which allows patients to place their own meal selections from the comfort of the hospital bed via Hospedia’s T2D or T3 bedside entertainment terminals.
Datasym has been using tablet and PDA technology for many years to allow the NHS to cut wastage but one issue with a tablet only solution is the resources required to visit each hospital bed. Hospedia were able to provide the perfect solution by hosting the EMO service on terminals that already exist in over 150 NHS Hospitals. Already successfully running at Royal Bournemouth and Derriford Hospitals, Datasym and Hospedia have been busy demonstrating EMO to hospitals up and down the country with fantastic feedback received to date.
