Datasym together with its partner Retail Response has been awarded the contract to provide EPOS and back office to the ever expanding Akkeron group of hotels.
Akkeron were looking for an EPOS provider to cover the bars and restaurants at their existing hotels. Previously Akkeron used standard EPROM based cash registers and they were keen to link the various bars and restaurants with their chosen PMS system Reslynx provided by Guestline. Retail Response have a proven track record of supporting EPOS nationwide and this together with Datasym’s flexibliity and existing portfolio attracted Akkeron to the Datasym solution. As part of the solution Datasym had to write a PMS interface to the web based Reslynx application on a very tight timescale. This has now been achieved and following some minor changes to fit in with the Akkerons requirements now passes room based transactions from all areas to the PMS as well as non room financial information for walk in customers at The Yorkshire Hotel in Harrogate. Akkeron plans to utilise Datasym’s back office Menumark application for stock transactions moving forwards and Menumark is currently being used as a centralised management and EPOS reporting tool to cover EPOS across the estate as the solution rolls out to the other hotels in the estate. Datasym and Retail Response will continue to work closely with Akkeron as part of this newly formed partnership and looks forward to servicing all of Akkerons changing requirements in the future.
