Already installed and awaiting go live at The Royal Bolton Hospital. As its name implies, rather than the NHS spending out on hardware to use at the bedside, BYOD allows patients to use there own smartphones and tablets to logon to a hospital homepage provided by WiFi SPARK which in addition to entertainment options is also able to link directly through to a meal ordering application from Datasym. An evolution of Datasym’s Menumate application which has been available for bedside ordering via multiple methods for several years, BYOD really is the perfect solution providing maximum benefits to the patients and the NHS.
